1.1. These Payment Card Terms and Conditions (the "Card Terms") supplement Trumia’s (“Trumia”, we", "us", or "our") General Terms and Conditions (the "General Terms") and should be read in conjunction with our General Terms and Conditions. These Card Terms govern the use of debit card services provided by Trumia to you (the "Cardholder" or "you"). These Card Terms were last updated and published on the 3rd September, 2025.
1.2. These Card Terms, along with the General Terms, the Fee Schedule, Privacy Policy, and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute a legal agreement between the Cardholder and Trumia.
1.3. The Card is issued by a separate card issuer, Wallester AS (the “Card Issuer”), in cooperation with Trumia. While your Card Account and the Trumia Services are provided by Trumia, the Card itself is a payment instrument issued and owned by the Card Issuer.
1.4. Use of the Card is subject to the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions, which you must actively accept as described herein. In the event of any conflict between these Card Terms and the General Terms, these Card Terms and the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions shall prevail in relation to your Card.
1.5. By applying for, activating, or using the Card, you agree to be bound by:
a) these Card Terms;
b) the General Terms;
c) the Privacy Policy;
d) the applicable Fee Schedule;
e) the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions.
2.1. Trumia is a limited liability company incorporated and registered under the laws of Malta under company registration number (C96757) with its registered office at Quad Central, Q3, Level 3, Triq l-Esportaturi, Zone 1, Central Business District, Birkirkara CBD 1040, Malta and is licensed by the MFSA as a financial institution in terms of the Financial Institutions Act. Trumia is authorised to provide the Trumia Services as defined in and pursuant to the General Terms and the Card Transactions (as defined below). Information about Trumia can be accessed by using the MFSA Financial Services Register. The MFSA’s address and contact details are:

2.3. Trumia has passported the Trumia Services to the EEA under the freedom to provide services.
2.4. The Card Issuer is Wallester AS (registration number 11812882), having its registered office at F.R. Kreutzwaldi 4, 10120 Tallinn, Estonia, which is regulated by the Estonian Financial Supervision and Resolution Authority. Please refer to the Card issuer Terms and Conditions for more information about the Card Issuer.
Definitions
3.1. In these Card Terms, the following definitions shall apply in addition to those set out in the General Terms:
Card
means a Chip & PIN Card or a Virtual Card issued and owned by the Card Issuer in cooperation with Trumia to a Cardholder, linked to your Card Account, and which the Cardholder may use to perform Card Transactions.
Card Account
means the payment and electronic money account(s) held with Trumia which is linked to a Card
Card Data
means the Cardholder’s name, the Card number, the validity period and the CVV code of the Card
Cardholder
means a person to whom or to which a Card has been issued by the Card Issuer
Card Issuer
means Wallester AS (registration number 11812882), having its registered office at F.R. Kreutzwaldi 4, 10120 Tallinn, Estonia, which is regulated by the Estonian Financial Supervision and Resolution Authority
Card Issuer Terms and Conditions
means the separate terms and conditions governing issuance and use of the Card provided by the Card Issuer which are available in Annex 1 to these Card Terms
Card Transactions
means an act initiated by the Cardholder of transferring to or withdrawing funds from the Card Account
Chip and Pin Card
means a physical card with an electronic chip, requiring a PIN code and having NFC Functionality
[Card] Fee Schedule
means the schedule of fees, and other charges which may apply when the Cardholder makes use of the Card
Corporate Card
means a Card issued in the name of a body corporate and will include the name of its authorized representative. For the purposes of Corporate Cards, the term ‘Cardholder’ shall refer to the corporate body in whose name the Card Account is held and to its authorized representative as applicable.

technology which can be used for contactless exchange of data over short distances and allows contactless payments
PIN
means Personal Identification Number
Virtual Card
A Card that consists of digital Card Data, is accessible online and has no physical body.
3.2. Clause headings in this Agreement are for convenience only and are not relevant in the interpretation of the Card Terms.
3.3. The English language version of the Card Terms shall be the language constituting this Agreement for all purposes including dispute resolution. All communications between the Cardholder and Trumia shall be in English. Where any translation of these Card Terms or parts thereof in another language are available, such translation is for informal purposes only and does not alter or take precedence over the provisions of these Card Terms, and the provisions of these Card Terms in the English language shall prevail.
4.1. To make use of the Card, you must explicitly accept the separate Card Issuer Terms and Conditions. These terms are available in Annex 1 to these Card Terms and form a direct contractual relationship between you, as the Cardholder, and the Card Issuer.
4.2. The Card Terms and Conditions, including the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions are deemed to be accepted by you by clicking the “I accept the Card Terms and Conditions” tick box during the card application process via the Trumia Platform.
4.3. Failure to accept the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions will result in the inability to receive or use a Card.
5.1. Upon successful application and acceptance of all applicable terms, including these Card Terms and the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions, a Card may be issued to you by the Card Issuer. In the case of a Chip & Pin Card, this will be sent to you by the Card Issuer by post to the address you select.
5.2. Before you first use the Card, you will be required to activate it following the activation instructions on the Trumia Platform. Once the Card has been activated you will be able to use the Card and carry out Card Transactions.
5.3. Upon issuance of the Card, you will receive the PIN in relation to your Card from the Card Issuer by post to the address you select.
5.4. The Cardholder may submit a request for a new Chip and Pin Card over the Trumia Platform. Once the request is received, Trumia will inform the Card Issuer and the time and manner of receiving the new Chip and Pin Card shall then be communicated to the Cardholder over the Trumia Platform. In the event that the Cardholder requests a new Virtual Card, a new application will need to be submitted over the Trumia Platform.
5.5. The Card shall only be used by the Cardholder. As regards Corporate Cards, any and all transactions carried out by the authorised representative named on the Card shall be considered to have been carried out by the corporate body.
5.6. The Card Issuer has the right not to issue a new Card in accordance with the Issuer Terms and Conditions.
5.7. If the Card is about to expire and the Cardholder does not want a new Chip and Pin Card, it shall inform Trumia over the Trumia Platform at least 45 days before the last day of the month indicated on the Card.
5.8. You are responsible for ensuring that any login credentials or other security information required to access or use the Card or the Card Account is kept safe to prevent unauthorised use of the Card Account and the Card. This includes memorising your PIN, not writing it down and not disclosing it to anyone. You are required to ensure that you will at all times adhere to the security requirements for using the Card set out in the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions.
5.9. The Card may not be used if blocked or suspended in accordance with the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions.
5.10. The Card Transactions and use of the Card is subject to any applicable limits on the Card Account in accordance with the General Terms and any applicable limits set out in the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions.
5.11. You agree to use the Card strictly in accordance with these Card Terms, the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions, and all applicable laws.
6.1. Cash withdrawals effected through any bank or ATM network will be subject to the fee structure prevailing at the time of the withdrawal in terms of the [Card Fee Schedule]. Such cash withdrawals will be charged to the Card Account. The Company shall not be liable for any Payee that imposes its own cash withdrawal fees, or restrictions in accordance with Applicable Law.
6.2. The amount of cash the Cardholder may withdraw using their Card shall not exceed the limit indicated in the schedule of fees. This amount may be restricted by Trumia without notice to the Cardholder if the Card Account was recently opened or if the Cardholder breaches any applicable terms and conditions.
7.1. If you suspect that your details have been compromised in any way, you are required to suspend your card from the Trumia Platform. You must inform Trumia by contacting us on the Trumia Platform as soon as possible and without any delay of any suspicion if the debit card with which the Card Account is linked is lost, stolen or otherwise may be subject to unauthorised use by another person.
7.2. Upon receipt of such notice, Trumia will notify the Card Issuer immediately and all reasonable steps will be taken to block the use of the Card.
7.3. Where the Cardholder is a Consumer or a Micro-Enterprise, the Cardholder’s maximum liability in respect of a Card Transaction and that was not authorised by such Cardholder will be up to the amount of fifty Euro (EUR 50), unless:
a. the loss, theft or misappropriation of a Card was not detectable to the Cardholder prior to a payment, except where the Cardholder has acted fraudulently; or
b. the loss was caused by acts or lack of action of an employee, agent, or branch of the Card Issuer or of an entity to which its activities were outsourced.
7.4. Where the Cardholder is a Consumer or a Micro-Enterprise, the Cardholder shall not bear any financial consequences resulting from use of the lost, stolen, or misappropriated Card after submitting a notification of this, except where the Card Holder has acted fraudulently.
8.1. Please refer to the Fee Schedule for a complete list of fees and charges which may be applicable.
8.2. By making use of the Card, the Cardholder agrees that any applicable fees and charges may be debited to the Card Account or otherwise agrees that any such applicable fees and charges shall be paid on demand. Any fees, charges or other amounts which are due and payable by the Cardholder may be directly debited or otherwise deducted from the funds available on the Card Account as and when they are due and payable at such intervals as may be required.
9.1. Any changes to the Card Terms or to the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions (the “Relevant Terms”) shall be sent to the Cardholder via the Trumia Platform together with a copy of the updated version of the Relevant Terms. A description of the changes and an updated version of the Relevant Terms will be sent to the Cardholder at least two (2) months before the date on which the updated terns will come into force. The date on which the updated Relevant Terms shall apply shall be included in this notification.
9.2. Unless the Cardholder notifies Trumia of their objection to the updated Relevant Terms before the date of the proposed entry into force of the updated Relevant Terms, the Cardholder shall be deemed to have accepted the updated Relevant Terms which will thereafter apply.
9.3. In the event that the Cardholder does not agree with the proposed changes to the Relevant Terms, they may terminate the Card free of charge and with effect at any time until the date when the changes would have applied.
10.1. Without prejudice to the governing law and jurisdiction of the Card Issuer Terms and Conditions, these Card Terms including any non-contractual obligations thereunder, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Maltese law.
10.2. The Maltese Courts have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes in connection with this Agreement, and the Cardholder accordingly submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of such Courts.
11.1. The Parties will use their reasonable efforts to resolve any disputes arising hereunder without formal litigation.
11.2. Any claim or dispute arising under these Card Terms or as a result of the provision of the Card Transactions should, in the first instance, be referred to Trumia in writing via the Trumia Platform or via e-mail to complaints@trumia.com. Further details on how to submit a complaint can be found in our Complaints Handling Procedure found on our Website.
11.3. Trumia will do its best to resolve the complaint as soon as possible and send the Cardholder a final response by email within 15 working days of receiving the complaint. If, in exceptional circumstances, for reasons beyond Trumia’s control, Trumia needs more time to respond, Trumia will send the Cardholder, a holding reply within 15 working days of receiving the clear and correctly submitted complaint to let the Cardholder know when the Cardholder will receive Trumia’s final response (which will be no later than 35 days from the date on which Trumia first received the complaint).
11.4. Trumia will use its best endeavour to take the necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.
11.5. If the Cardholder does not receive a final response on time or the Cardholder is unhappy with Trumia’s final response, the Cardholder may send the complaint to the Central Bank of Malta by visiting the Contact Us page available on the Central Bank of Malta's website or by sending a written complaint by mail to:

11.6. In addition, should the Cardholder not be satisfied with the reply provided and the Cardholder is considered an eligible customer in terms of the Arbiter for Financial Services Act, namely if the Cardholder is a Consumer or Micro-Enterprise, a complaint may be lodged with the Office of the Arbiter for Financial Services as follows:
